Peruvannamuzhi Dam, built across the Kuttiyadi river, is a quiet, uncrowded spot surrounded by greenery in the north-east of Kozhikode district. The scenic drive to reach it is part of the charm.
What to Expect
The four-shutter dam has a small garden and a children's park, and boating on the reservoir is the main activity. Nearby attractions include an island bird sanctuary and a crocodile-rearing centre. It's especially pretty during and just after the monsoon.

About 60 km from the city. A modest entry fee applies (around ₹20–30 per person plus a small vehicle charge), and there's parking and toilets near the entrance. Best visited in the daytime/evening.
