Suprabatham The Veg

About
A popular pure-vegetarian South Indian restaurant on Beach Road, best known for its butter Mysore masala dosa and outstanding filter coffee, with AC and self-service sections.
A Beach Road Veg Favourite
Suprabatham The Veg is one of Kozhikode's most popular pure-vegetarian restaurants, set on Beach Road near Bombay Hotel and walkable from the Kozhikode beach. It serves an extensive South Indian, North Indian and Chinese vegetarian menu, with both an AC à la carte section and a non-AC self-service section.
What to Order
The Butter Mysore Masala Dosa is the standout — golden-crisp with a flavourful, spiced masala — served with three chutneys and good sambar. Other favourites include vada, poori masala, idli, pongal, uttapam, chaat items like dahi bhalla, and a strong lineup of dosa variants. The filter coffee, poured from its own dedicated counter, is a highlight worth a second cup.
The Experience
The ambience is clean and comfortable, service is quick (food usually in 10–15 minutes), and prices are good value. It gets busy at breakfast and on weekends, so expect a short wait — and note that parking is roadside only.
